At or Better Definition
At or Better Definition - This term is used when issuing an instruction to a forex broker, dealer or market maker that he should buy or sell at a specific rate or better that he can or is able to obtain in the market in a given time period. Your broker/dealer may have a variety of qualifications that can be attached to any instructions that you give to him. It is prudent to understand these and to learn how each one can benefit your trading results in the future. Most all of these qualifiers have abbreviated names in order to communicate quickly your intentions to your forex broker and to remove any possibility for misunderstanding.
